Wonderful for a barbecue.
Sticky Hoi-sin Chicken Thighs
Ingredients:
- 0.25 cup soy sauce
- 3 tbsp orange or pineapple juice
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 1.5 tbsp runny honey
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1.5 tsp chilli sauce
- 1tsp 5 spice
- slug of sesame oil
- 6 chicken thighs
- 1 tsp cornflour
Directions:
- combine the first 8 ingredients in a bowl, add the chicken, mix well and leave to marinade for at least 30 minutes
- remove the chicken and cook slowly on the lower heat part of the barbecue for 15-20 minutes
- put the marinade in a pan and mix in the cornflour and cook until thickened
- pour some of the marinade over the chicken thighs on the barbecue and cook the thighs for another 15-20 minutes. Barbecue until the thighs are cooked through
- when cooked put the thighs in a bowl and cover with the remainder of the marinade sauce and serve.
