I had a pink woolen jumper that I had washed at too high a temperature and it had shrunk and turned into felt.  I had found a cute little cane chair for my granddaughter and wanted to make a cushion for it and had just watched one of Kirstie Allsop’s craft programmes. Much as some of her programmes can be irritating as she spends a fortune on materials, she does however inspire me sometimes. I had watched her do some basic embroidery and it occurred to me that I could try that too, so I cut 2 circles from the matted jumper, and then found some scraps of wool and sewed some flowers onto one circle. I then sewed the 2 circles together added a lace trim and this is what it looks like.
