A lovely rich tasting mincemeat for Christmas.
- 3.5lb mixed dried fruit
- 8oz mixed peel
- 1ib apples peeled and chopped
- 4oz walnuts or almonds
- 12oz muscovado sugar
- 9oz suet
- 1tsp mixed spice
- rind and juice of 2 oranges and 2 lemons
- 0.5 pint brandy
Mix all of the ingredients together and cover for 2 hours. Mix and then place in sterilised jars, cover and seal. Makes 10lb.
