Well not that healthy but there is less sugar than normal.

Healthy Flapjack

  • 2oz butter
  • 3 tbsp peanut butter
  • 3 tbsp syrup
  • 9 oz oats or a mix of muesli and oats
  • 4 oz raisins
  • 4 oz flaked almonds or other chopped nuts
  • 1 mashed banana (optional)


  1. Heat the oven to 160C. Line a medium baking tray with baking parchment. Melt the butter, peanut butter and syrup in a pan, mix in the mashed banana if you are using this. Put the dry ingredients in a bowl, pour the melted butter etc over the dry ingredients and mix well. Put into the baking tray and smooth over and then bake for 35 to 45 minutes until browned, cut whilst warm and leave in the tray to cool. Freezes well.
