Here is another wonderfully cheap chair. I bought this one off ebay for 99p! The rush seating had all broken and was very old and dusty so I cut it away.

I sanded the chair down using 100 grade sandpaper and painted it using an oil based white satin or eggshell paint. On my last chair I used one of the new water based paints but found it very difficult to use and I couldn’t get rid of the brush strokes.

I am now going to make a seat base and pad the seat and cover it
