This uses dark chocolate and icing sugar but makes a glossy icing that is easy to make instead of ganache when you have no cream in the fridge.
- 6oz dark chocolate
- 4oz icing sugar
- 4 tbsp hot water
- Put all the ingredients in a bowl over a pan of simmering water and mix until the chocolate has melted, stirring all the time.
- Spread over the cake once it has cooled and thickened a little.
